About us
The GeoTech Lab is part of a network of 24 public libraries and museums across the country that have started to develop and run learning labs for their communities with support from the MacArthur Foundation and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
Learning labs are programs and spaces in museums and libraries where connected learning comes to life. They are places where young people, with the support of adult mentors, can build on their own interests and use their curiosity as a guide to experiment, create, and discover their talents. Learning labs empower and motivate learners to identify and pursue their true passions – and turn those passions into pathways to new skills and knowledge. Our mission at the GeoTech Lab is to prepare teenagers for the technology driven world that we live in by educating them about various programs that interest them.
